The main objective when putting up a chain link fence is making sure it is strong and secure especially if you are putting one up for a pet. Although you can buy a gate that is already assembled for you, it is just as easy to put it together yourself. Gather your pieces and let’s get started. Slide on tension bands. The tension bands will go on the gate frame before you put the gate frame together. (These tension bands will connect to the tension bars later). You will want to put three bands on each side if you have a small gate. For a big gate you may need another. Connect gate frame pieces once the tension bands are on. This will be the outer frame of the gate to make your rectangular door shape. Slide tension bar into mesh. You will need to do this for both sides of the door mesh.
