• Try to sit at one of the tables she is serving. When she comes over to take your order look for a ring to see if she is married, be polite and friendly, but not pushy. • Leave her a thank you note on a napkin. Insert a nice tip inside the fold of a napkin, but make sure the money is sticking out. Make sure you make her notice the tip, or someone else might pick it up. • Sit at her table a few more times, smiling, and showing that she interests you. If she mentions that her shift is ending, ask her to sit with you for coffee. • Leave your phone number with your tip, and a note saying that you would like to take her out for coffee one day. Understand that if you have been friendly, and have done all the above, and she does not seem to reciprocate, she might be married, or dating. Do not push it any further. Accept it, and go on.
