Use one of your platters to test the placement of the boxes and if they are going to be wide enough of a base for the platter to set on. You can use this space for candles, flowers or other accent pieces related to the wedding. Cover the boxes with the second fabric selection. This will create a multi-leveled platform that will enable you to place platter filled cupcakes on varied height surfaces. Step back and look at it from a distance you may want to make changes to the layout before you place the cupcakes around. Now you can place the cupcakes on platters surrounding the main cake.
