How Do You Approach A Parent About Their Childs Bad Behavior?

Everyone has had to deal with them. Children who just will not listen, and their behavior is horrible. Maybe it is even violent. How do you tell their parents that you are having problems with their children? Here is one way. Before you do anything else, make sure that whatever the child has done (I.E. Hitting, bad language, etc.) is something that has happened before. If it has be sure that you have talked to the child about his behavior. Let the child know that what he is doing is unacceptable behavior. If they continue to do it then you should take action. Begin by writing down dates and times that the child behaves in this way. This may become useful later on. Notate what direction you gave the child to help him know that his actions were inappropriate. Once the behavior has gone on more than 3 times (or if the behavior happens more than once and is violent) it is time to talk to the child’s parent. Remember to stay calm. Pick a time when you have had a chance to calm down and thin
