How Do You Apply To A Special Admission Public High School In Philadelphia?
Philadelphia is home to several special admission high schools. These schools offer advanced academics for students who score high in their standardized tests as well as exhibit the ability to excel academically. Philadelphia allows students in grades 8 through 11 the opportunity to voluntarily apply to special admission high schools. Applications for these schools are only accepted in September and October for the next school year. While some schools do offer a waiting list, invitations to attend are based on the individual students academic performance not lottery or timing of application. Research the admission requirements for the school you are interested in attending. You are given the opportunity to apply to five schools, it is important to make sure that you meet the requirements for the school in order to be accepted.
