How Do You Apply Fusion Hair Strands?
“Fusion” is a catchall term for strand-by-strand hair extensions methods, which utilize 100 percent human hair and can last up to five months with proper maintenance. Fusion hair strands include a keratin-polymer bond that you can heat attach with connector beads for length, volume or non-damaging highlights. Begin with clean, dry hair, and separate into sections. Create a horseshoe-shaped section of hair on top of the head, encompassing the bangs and crown. Twist the hair, and clip it out of the way with duckbill clips. At the sides, create two vertical parts from the tips of the ears to the horseshoe section, comb forward and pin in front of the ears. Create a horizontal part about halfway between the crown section and the nape of the neck; clip the upper section out of the way. Leave a 1/2-inch section of hair loose around the nape of the neck for a natural appearance. Above the loose hair, separate the first row of hair onto which you will apply the fusion extensions.
