Plastic can be painted as easily as any type of material. Prior to painting, all dents, scratches and holes in the plastic surface must first be repaired. To repair these holes, simply fill them in with an kneadable epoxy filler prior to painting. This filler can be pressed into the hole or dent and dries to a hard surface that blends right in with the plastic. After painting the plastic, there will be no evidence that a hole or dent was ever there. Use a razor blade to trim off any areas of the plastic that are sticking up. This most often occurs in screw holes, but also can occur in other types of holes.Try to get the surface as smooth as possible using the razor. Purchase a kneadable fiberglass epoxy putty.
