This smokey eye look, first made popular by actress Sophia Loren, uses liquid eyeliner and grayish shades to open up and elongate the eye. The eye makeup is fairly simple to apply and customize based upon the wearer’s needs. This extended eyeliner look is most appropriate for night wear, as it uses dark colors and looks less natural. Apply liquid concealer to a makeup sponge and dab it onto the entire eyelid. Make sure to blend the concealer, particularly in the area right below the brow. The concealer will help the eye makeup last longer. Use an eyeshadow brush to apply dark eyeshadow (a charcoal or gray shade works best) to the eyelid from the upper lashes to the crease. Blend it in around the outer edges so that the color doesn’t stop abruptly. Brush a thin line of the dark eyeshadow on the lower lash line.
