I like to share knowledge, all of my articles I have written, I do or have used in the past. In AutoCAD there are default “External Commands” they vary slightly. People like to change or create to their preferences. This article is use the command, if the command is not created, AutoCAD will not recognize it. For example, some people prefer to use ci for circle and co for copy. These defaults can be changed and or created by editing or creating an External Command, which is another article I have written. I have listed some of my favorite shortcut keys. There are many ways to do things in AutoCAD, I happen to be an efficient typist, I prefer to type shortcut commands. See the list I have attached in Step three for more shortcut keys. AutoCAD has an acad.pgp file, which is where the most common shortcut key commands (Command Alias definitions) are located, which you can add or modify them to your preferences.
