How Do You Apply Acid Stain To A Concrete Floor?
Applying acid stain is one way to spruce up dull, plain concrete floors. Concrete acid stains are water based and consist of a variety of minerals and acid. The concrete is colored when the acid mixes with it, creating a chemical reaction. Fix any holes or cracks in the floor with concrete patch. Scrape away any imperfections in the floor using a putty knife. Use a stiff scrub brush to scrub the entire floor with a solution of one cup trisodium phosphate mixed with four gallons of water. Go over the floor with a wet vac to remove the water. Rinse the floor with a mop and clean water. Allow the floor to dry completely prior to applying the acid stain. Tape off any areas that you do not want stained using painter’s tape. This includes baseboards and door trim. Combine the acid stain with water
