How Do You Apply A Color Rinse?
• Shampoo your hair 12 to 24 hours before doing the hair color rinse to remove any build-up from styling products. Hair should be completely dry when applying color to it. • Test the hair color product’s shading and coloring time on a sample of your hair. • Use scissors to cut a 1/4 inch (0.63 cm) wide strand of dry hair from close to the scalp in the darkest or grayest part of your hair. Tape the cut end to keep the hair together. • Put the hair in a plastic bowl. Put on plastic or rubber gloves. Use enough hair color to cover the strand in the bowl. • Wait 15 minutes, using a clock for timing. If coloring permed or relaxed hair, wait 10 minutes. • Take out the hair and wipe the hair color from it with a paper towel after the allotted time to see how its color looks. • Return the hair to the coloring product left in the bowl if you are not yet satisfied with the color.
