How Do You Adjust The Sprinkler Heads On A Rainbird R-50?
The Rain Bird R-50 rotor is a pressure-activated sprinkler head that can be set for a 360-degree rotation or for a smaller arc. At the factory, the R-50 sprinkler is set to approximately 180 degrees, or a half circle. The strength of the water flow can be adjusted on the sprinkler head to establish a radius of 21 to 50 feet. Open the water valve at the sprinkler water source to turn on the sprinkler. Press down the vandal collar to the ground. The vandal collar is located about halfway down the shaft. To increase the arc, turn the nozzle turret clockwise. To decrease the arc, turn the nozzle turret counterclockwise. Return the vandal collar to its original position. Make sure sprinkler is turned off by closing the valve at the sprinkler water source. Unscrew the cap of the sprinkler. Remove the internal assembly from the case. Press the vandal collar down.
