How Do You Adjust The Space Bar Touch On An HP Keyboard?
It’s annoying when you hit the space bar on your Hewlett Packard keyboard and two spaces appear on the screen instead of one … or no space appears at all. This problem can be a sign of a worn-out keyboard–which you usually cannot fix because most keyboards are made of inexpensive, nonrepairable plastic parts–or it could be a software problem. Try adjusting the software before you throw away your keyboard. Click the “Start” button at the lower-left of your screen, then “Control Panel.” Click “Keyboard” in Windows XP and older versions of Windows; in Windows 7 and Vista, click “Hardware and Sound,” then “Keyboard.” If your space bar is making more than one space or is generally too sensitive, move the “Repeat Delay” setting toward the “Long” side of the scale.
