How Do You Adjust The Picture Quality On The Sony DVP-CX985V CD/DVD Player?
The Sony DVP-CX985V CD/DVD player has a feature called Block Noise Reduction (BNR) that, when activated, lessens “block noise,” interference that causes mosaic patterns on the TV screen. Switching it on can improve the picture quality. Press the “Display” button on the remote twice while the player is in playback mode. The Control menu will pop up on the screen. Use the up and down arrow keys to choose the “BNR” option from the control menu. Press “Enter.” The screen will display a choice of three levels of BNR. Select the BNR level (1, 2 or 3) by pressing the up and down arrow keys. Level 3 is the highest level and reduces block noise the most. Press “Enter.” The player will start playing the movie with the new BNR setting. Cancel the BNR settings by pressing “Off” during level selection.
