You can adjust the color table in Adobe Fireworks CS3 so you can rebuild, delete colors and add colors to the table. This gives you precise control over how your GIF image will be optimized. Deleting colors lowers the file size and image quality, while adding colors increases the file size as well as the quality. Start Adobe Fireworks CS3 and open a document from your files that contains a GIF image that may need a color table adjustment. Select the GIF image in your document and a blue outline will appear around it. Display the “Optimize and Align” panel if necessary by choosing “Optimize” from the Window menu. Click the “Optimize” tab, if necessary, to see the color table displayed near the bottom of the panel.
