A table saw is the most common large wood working tool that the average homeowner will own. And while a table saw can be a dangerous tool if used improperly, it is actually a very simple tool to operate. In fact, there are only two adjustments that can be made to a table saw blade and both adjustments can easily be made by the average do-it-yourselfer.The two adjustments possible for a table saw blade are the height of the blade and the angle of the blade. Generally speaking you only want the height of your blade to be approximately 1/8th of an inch more than the thickness of the material you are cutting. Any more than this and you risk scorching the edges of your material or causing excess splintering or other damage. To adjust the height of your blade simply locate the round wheel on the front of your table saw; turning this wheel clockwise raises the blade and turning it counter clockwise lowers the blade.
