How Do You Adjust Rain Bird Spray Heads?
The Rain Bird Corporation manufactures a variety of irrigation equipment including residential and commercial in-ground sprinklers. The section of the sprinkler system that sits above the ground is called the sprinkler head and can be either a spray or rotor style. A spray head sprinkler does not rotate and sprays water in only one direction. Although most Rain Bird spray heads are properly adjusted when they are installed, there may come a time when they need to be readjusted due to landscaping changes. Examine the top center of the sprinkler head and locate the radius reduction screw. Adjusting this screw controls how far out the sprinkler sprays water. Reduce the distance of the spray by inserting a screwdriver into the screw and turning it a few degrees clockwise. To increase the spray distance, turn the screw counterclockwise.
