How Do You Adjust Lawn Sweeper Brushes?
Lawn sweepers pick up grass and other clippings and make keeping a neat yard something that any homeowner can accomplish. Most lawn sweepers have attachments so they can be pulled behind lawn tractors or riding lawnmowers, but some are designed to be pushed manually. Both styles pick up clippings in a detachable bag to make clipping disposal a simple process. For optimal clipping pickup, you’ll need to make sure your sweeper is properly adjusted. Use your lawnmower to cut a swath of grass long enough to accommodate the lawn sweeper. Place your lawn sweeper on the swath of cut grass. Bend down or get on your hands and knees to view the sweeper brushes in relation to the cut grass. Sweeper brushes should be approximately 1/2 inch above the cut grass. Look at the front of the lawn sweeper. Most lawn sweepers have an adjustment handle in front, in the center. Loosen the handle by turning it to the left. Move the handle to adjust the sweeper brushes up or down until the brushes are 1/2 inch
