Consult the tire placard for the recommended pounds per square inch, or psi. Tire psi can be found on the edge of the driver side door, the automobile manual or in the glove compartment box. Check the air pressure while the tires are cold. Cold tires refer to tires that have not been driven for at least three hours. Adjust the pressure in the tires by adding air according to the manufacturer’s specifications.
