Proper mask fitting is essential for your CPAP treatment to be effective. If it isn’t on right, then you may not be getting the full benefit and your health is at risk. Loosen all the Velcro straps on your headgear and release one of blue green clips while leaving the other side attached. Hold the mask to your face and pull the headgear around your head. Now reattach the clip so that the headgear is around your head. Take this time to fix the straps if they are twisted. Now the mask should be on, but loose fitting. Tighten the upper part of the mask by releasing and pulling the headgear so that it is snug. You will have to repeat this step later. Now do the same with the lower straps. You want these to be snug.
