If your gas range cooks too high or is constantly going out, the following tips will teach you how to adjust the regulation on gas stove tops. Remove burner grates and set to the side. Lift stove top cover from the front. Most models lean upward to allow access to burners and the adjustment regulator. Locate the gas regulator. There will be a slotted screw for adjustment. Using the screwdriver, turn the screw 1/8 turn to the left if the flame is too low; if too high, turn the screw 1/8 to the right. Check burner for desired flame. If still not correct, repeat Step 4.
