How Do You Add Subtitles To A DVD Movie?
When burning a movie to DVD, many filmmakers add subtitles to their movies to make the movies more accessible to a wider audience. Some movies, however, do not contain subtitles, so if you don’t know the language that the movie is in, you may think that you’re out of luck. If you would like to watch a movie in a language that you don’t understand, and you need subtitles, you may be able to add the subtitles yourself. Place the DVD into the DVD drive of your computer. If the DVD automatically starts playing in a media player on the screen, stop the movie and close the player. Go to the “Start” menu, click “Computer” and right-click on the DVD drive to show the “Video TS” and “Audio TS” folders on the disc. Drag the “Video TS” folder from the DVD window onto your desktop to make a copy of the folder. You don’t need the “Audio TS” folder. Download the subtitles for the DVD movie onto which you want to add subtitles. Subtitles for DVDs can be found in many locations online, including Movie
