How Do You Add RAM Memory To An HP Desktop Computer?

0

Adding RAM (random access memory) to your HP desktop computer can have a big impact on how your computer functions. Most computers come off the assembly line with enough memory to run the operating system they are loaded with. Upgrading the RAM in your computer is not difficult if a few precautions are taken to ensure your safety, as well as that of your computer system. Unplug the power cord from the back of the computer. You will also want to unplug all of the other cords from the back. Make sure before you do that they are either color coded or you make a note of where they go so you can put them back in place when you are done. Unscrew the side panel from the back of the computer case. Look for the single side panel and remove the two screws holding it in place with the Phillips screwdriver. Be sure and put the screws in a safe place so you won’t lose them. Remove the side panel from the case. Once the side panel has been removed you will be able to see the motherboard and the RAM
