How Do You Add Intro Music To A Podcast?

0

Your podcast will sound much more professional if you can add introductory music to it. Using the same music for all your podcasts in a certain category will help to establish a unique identity in the minds of your listeners. A musical intro needs to play for a short time and then fade out, just before your voice begins. You may also want the intro to fade in. All this is easily possible using the free Audacity recording software (see link below) and can be used on the Windows, Mac and Linux platforms. Open both finalized and edited tracks in Audacity: your voice track and the music track. It will be easiest if the top track in Audacity is your voice recording and the bottom one is the music. Create a fade-in by highlighting the amount of time you need for the fade-in on the intro music track. This is usually the first one or two seconds. Choose “Effect > Fade In.” Select the “Envelope” tool from the toolbar, which is the one with two arrows one above the other, pointing to a blue line
