The Landmarks function of your Autostar computer controller lets you define landmarks (any terrestrial objects you want to view or use for orientation) and store their locations in the Autostar database. You can then find and view these landmarks with your Meade LX90GPS telescope. Set the telescope in the “Home” position. Go to “Setup: Targets” on the Autostar menu. Select “Terrestrial” and then press “Enter.” “Setup: Targets” will reappear. (Now you’re in Terrestrial mode-remember to switch back to Astronomical mode when you want to look at the sky again.) Press “Mode.” You will see “Select Item: Setup” on the display. Scroll down once to “Select Item: Object” and press “Enter.” Scroll up twice and you will see “Object: Landmarks.” Press “Enter.” Scroll down once and you will see “Landmark: Add.” Press “Enter.” Use the arrow keys to enter the name you want to give the landmark and then press “Enter.” Use the arrow keys to move your telescope to the landmark and center it in the eyepie
