Timestamps tell a viewer when the page was last updated ‘ an important feature for pages that require up-to-date information. This tutorial uses Microsoft FrontPage 2000. Start the FrontPage program and open an existing web. Open the page to be edited and position the cursor where the timestamp will appear. Open the Insert menu and select WebBot Component. The WebBot dialog box appears. Select Timestamp (near the bottom) and click OK. Click on the appropriate radio button to choose the time display and select the display format. Click OK. Save the page when finished. Preview the page in a Web browser by choosing Preview in Browser from the File menu. From the dialog box, choose the desired browser and settings.
