I’ve had ideas for a Star Wars novel, but recently been thinking about making it into a video game or TV-Movie I could pitch. So, I had to look up how to write a screen play. This is one of the sites I came across a while back, it can give you a basic idea on how to write a screenplay, I looked at a few other sites, but this was the only one I put as a link on my computer. http://www.scriptologist.com/Magazine/Fo… Once you’re familiar with the general format for a screenplay you just have to picture the scene in your head (how you want it to appear on film) then break down the characters, dialog, setting, camera angles/zoom/motion, and the actions. Adapting a book/novel is tougher. Most movies are about 1.5 hours, some major films could be around 2-2.5 hours. The majority of good books cannot be broken down line-by-line and scene-by-scene, and be adapted into a film that is less than 3 hours.
