Activating your computer’s screensaver can save energy, provide security, or help prevent burn-in on the monitor. No matter what the reason, screensavers can be pleasing to the eye or soothing when you’re stressed out. Windows Vista allows you to use a screensaver on your personal computer that can easily be activated via a shortcut. Start on your computer’s desktop. Right click, and from the pop-up menu, select “New,” followed by “Shortcut.” Type the following in the location-input box: %systemroot%\system32\Mystify.scr /s To use another screensaver for the shortcut, simply replace “Mystify” with the name of the screensaver you want to use.
