How do you activate / deactivate the child safety locks on the rear doors of 4-door cars?
The child safety locks on the rear doors will deactivate the inside handle from being able to open the rear doors. If you have young kids, this will keep them from fidling with the door latch and accidentally opening the car door while in motion. In order to activate the safety locks, there is a small lever on the backside of the door jam. Open the door and look just below the door latch mechanism and you’ll see the silver lever. Slide one way to activate, the other to deactivate.
