• If you have just been arrested and then read your rights (you don’t have to say anything but it may harm your defense etc.) take heed of them and keep quiet, be compliant for the officers and don’t resist arrest in any way • Don’t say anything in the car because the cameras in the car have microphones and those can be used to incriminate you (even if you didn’t do anything wrong) • When you are taken to the front desk, comply with whatever the police sergeant tells you to do (empty your pockets, remove your jewelry etc.). When they ask, tell them your name, age and address and nothing else because this is the legal minimum information you have to give and anything else can get others in trouble or you into even bigger trouble because all potential leads are followed up • When given your one and only phone call, ring your solicitor or someone else who can get you a solicitor (ie your parents).
