Each person has their own particular communication style. It is important for employers and group leaders to be aware of how the people under them communicate. When several team members each communicate in different ways, the leader must accommodate the different communication styles so there is effective communication between the entire group. Once there is effective communication, proper teamwork can take place. Take the time to recognize and identify each team member’s communication style. Do they communicate with you more often by email or in person? Are they more prone to phone calls or text messages? Use different channels to deliver your message. Send an email to team members. Follow up with a phone call or memo. By using multiple channels, you are accommodating those with different communication styles. Specify the fact that you want a response in return to your message. Some team members might be passive communicators, which means they do not go out of their way to give feedba
