How do worms reproduce?
A. Worms are hermaphrodites. Each worm has both male and female sex organs. But they need each other to reproduce. They cannot fertilize themselves. They lay next to each other, head to toe, and fertilize each other’s eggs. Then they separate and each worm creates a slime band around themselves and as they slide out of the band, the slime band forms a cocoon around the fertilized eggs. The cocoons are then left in the dirt to hatch.
