How do Workforce Education and Development (WED) courses help instructors and trainers teach?
This is one of the questions most often asked by prospective or new students in the program. Our Workforce Education and Development off-campus degree program offers a BS degree in Education, Training and Development. In a nutshell, our program trains trainers and instructors to be better at what they do. How do we do this? By utilizing the Instructional System Design (ISD) model. The ISD model provides a structured, systematic approach to determining if a training need exists, the design and development of a training curriculum to meet the need, implementation of the training program, and evaluation of the training program. Essentially, every perceived training need becomes a mini-research project.
