How do welfare recipients receive job readiness training?
An assessment of each recipient is conducted to determine what activities are needed to enable that person to become employed. Job readiness training (JRT) is one activity in which a recipient may participate, which often includes instruction in completing employment applications, writing resumes, job interviewing techniques and life skills. JRT is offered by a number of local employment and training agencies.
