How do we sing or teach children new songs?

Body in motion through space and time. Children communicate with their environments through movement; infants crawl, toddlers walk, run, jump. Adults are not left out! WHY IS MOVEMENT IMPORTANT? a. Movement stimulates development – e.g. – physically, children build their fine & large muscles – cognitively, children are able to engage in problem – solving, achieve certain goals (proximity to caregiver); b. Movement enables children to learn about their bodies (names & functions) c. Provides an emotional outlet, means of relaxation for children d. Avenue for non – verbal expression/communication e. Fosters group participation and other social skills WHY IS MOVEMENT IMPORTAN
