How do we report students who finished one school year but do not show up to school the next year?
If you have a request for records from another school or district, the student should be coded in CEDARS as a known transfer. If there is no request for records and the student’s location is unknown, they should be assigned a code U2, which counts as a dropout in the grade the student completed school.
