Some foods do not lend themselves easily to the provision of “halves,” e.g., bread, peanut butter, dried beans, cheese. For women fully breastfeeding multiples only, State agencies are allowed to issue foods in Food Package VII in amounts averaged over a 2-month timeframe. This will eliminate concern about providing “half” of a food package. It is up to the State agency how to do this, but it shouldnt be complicated, i.e., the State agency would issue double the “regular” fully breastfeeding package one month and the “regular” fully breastfeeding package the next month.
