How do we make rounder cuts in porcelain tiles like around the commode wax ring?
Draw the arc on the tile and cover it with scotch-tape (so that you can still see the line) Use the wet-saw to cut as many straight cuts as you need in order to get as close as you can to your curved line Once you are there, you just carefully trim the excess by running the tile against the saw in a perpendicular angle and pushing it sideways in the direction of your line. You must be very patient or else you end up with a curved cut but with an overly jagged edge. Always wear goggles when cutting ceramic tile.
