How do we make an examination of Conscience when preparing for Sacrament of Penance?
I. Begin by praying the Act of Contrition: O my God I am heartily sorry for having offended Thee and I detest all my sins because of Thy just punishment , but most of all because they offend Thee, my God, Who are all good, and deserving of all my love. I firmly resolve with help of Thy Grace, to sin no more , and to avoid the near occasions of sin. Amen 1 II. Go over the ten commandment and see if I have failed at any. The Ten Commandments of God are: 1. I, the Lord, am your God. You shall not have strange gods beside Me. 2. You shall not take the name of the Lord God in vain. 3. Remember to keep holy the Sabbath. 4. Honor your father and mother. 5. You shall not kill. 6. You shall not commit adultery. 7. You shall not steal. 8. You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor. 9. You shall not covet your neighbors wife. 10. You shall not covet your neighbors good. III.
