At the completion of the EDGAR transmission, the SEC sends a message indicating the submission is complete. Please keep in mind that this does not mean the filing has been accepted – only that it has been received. You can go to the SEC’s secure EDGAR website almost immediately after the transmission and, using your security codes, check the status of your filings. Filings submitted prior to 5:30 p.m. (Eastern time zone) will be publicly displayed on the SEC website within moments of its acceptance. Filings submitted after 5:30 p.m. (Eastern time zone) will be disseminated at 6:00 a.m. the following business day. Exceptions include filings pursuant to Rule 462B (MEF filings) and Section 16 Forms 3, 4 and 5, which will be disseminated within moments of acceptance, regardless of what time the filing was submitted.
