How do we know that MES is a valid assessment of marketing knowledge?
Each of the quintiles shown below is based on overall marketing knowledge scores. Each bar is the average of roughly 6,000 managers who answered that question. For each of the questions (easy, average, and hard) the managers in each quintile are the same. This demonstrates how well each question discriminates between those with high, average, and low levels of marketing knowledge. Shown in parenthesis is the overall marketing knowledge score for each quintile.
