Each child is unique in why a feeding disorder is present and how it will be addressed in therapy. Every child should first be evaluated to determine where their strengths and weaknesses lie. This evaluation gives therapists a platform from which to base their treatment strategies. For the majority of children, their treatment will involve a variety of professionals including occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, dietitians, psychologists, gastroenterologists, pediatricians, and other medical specialists who can provide additional diagnostic information or expertise as the child progresses in treatment.
