At BOD levels such as 3,000 mg/l as well as non domestic wastes, we would have to run pilot tests to determine sizing criteria since that is not something we have experienced so far. A pilot system would probably need to be run for at least 6 months, and obviously, would come with a cost. Algae remove metals but would need to be quantified by the pilot study.
