How do we get Congress to allow for additional domestic Oil & Gas drilling?
I hate to waste your time here, but since no one else answered I thought I would. I have no freakin’ clue. March on Washington? It’s ridiculous… we’ll pay other countries to do this for us, by buying what they produce, but those countries – en masse – don’t have the environmental controls, for example, that we have in place here. So the environmentalists who are up in arms about the possibility of drilling for oil in America (and its environs) don’t give a hoot about the ‘damage’ to the planet being done, I guess. They care only about appearing to care, which to my mind is the absolute definition of liberalism in America. We just go absolutely crazy here, WAY overboard when it comes to reacting to things. Rather than dealing with reality, we deal with what people will think of us, and it’s maddening. A tanker goes aground and spills oil, and we’re out on the beach washing off the birds – fine, no problem, but we ought not then outlaw tankers!! Just using hyperbole to make the point,
