How do we ensure that an ITCM subscriber provisioned for two virtual phone lines only gets up to two high quality dynamic CBR QoS SIDs at runtime?
A. Each time the ITCM sends a DSA-REQ requesting a new dynamic SID, the CMTS first checks to see whether that ITCM has any unused deferred service flows available before creating a new dynamic SID. If the ITCM already uses two dynamic SIDs, both of its deferred service flows show as in-use at CMTS. As long as a dynamic SID is using the service flow, the service flow is unavailable for the creation of any new dynamic SIDs from this ITCM.
