Our data architects have significant experience and can provide some useful guidelines. A site survey is typically done to determine the optimum Twister configuration. An assessment of the customer’s IT infrastructure (hardware, storage, networking, operating system, etc.) and an evaluation of the data to be processed (type, format, size, access methods, etc.) and current process flow are performed as part of the site survey by SMSi engineers. In some cases, a short pilot effort is initiated in order to size the system and determine the tier of nodes required.
