How do we capture family members accessing the Supportive care program?
Family member visits should be captured separately for the patient receiving the consultation/assessment (ie. Not linked to the existing cancer patient case). The disease registration record for the family member should have a diagnosis code Z63.7 Other stressful life events affecting family and household. And in the Clinic Visit file, the Visit Program Code should be “SC” (Supportive Care).
