How do waste water treatment plants work?

0

The one’s i’ve been around ,the waste water comes into plant and goes into a lagoon,it usually takes three to four days to go through all the sediment lagoons, then it goes to sand filter building, along the way a couple of chemicals are added( i don’t remember the chemicals names) it then goes through the sand filters out to a narrow trough, where it goes past a series of black lights, kill bacteria, then it’s sent to a creek or a river, except in some cases it’s recycled and used again, they say New Orleans recycles its waste to be used again. hope this helps.
