How do Veterans Administration education benefits work?
Every person and situation is completely different, so it would be impossible for us to answer since their are so many variables to take in consideration. How much you qualify for will be dependent (for instance) on the $ available on your spouses GI Bill, and some other factors. If I was you, I would contact one of the local schools that are VA Accredited and make an appointment with a Financial Aid Counselor. He/She would be able to answer all of the questions you have regarding how much you would qualify for, and for how long. I think there is a time limit that you (able bodied spouse) has to use it (gi bill) or lose it by. So the sooner you make an appoint with Financial Aid the better. You can also check the VA website for Education Benefits (I have linked it below). This will give you some broad information that will allow you to ask more specific questions at your meeting with the Financial Aid Counselor.
