How do venues charge for their services and use of facilities?
The most common rate structures are Day Delegate Rates, 24 Hour Delegate Rates and Room Hire Rates. For the Day and 24 Hour Delegate rates, most venues will specify a minimum number of delegates when quoting the rates. A typical Day Delegate package includes: Main Meeting Room Hire for the day(Syndicate or breakout rooms will generally entail an additional room hire charge); Flipchart, Screen and OHP for Main Meeting Room (additional equipment entails additional charges); 2 or 3 coffee/teas with biscuits or pastries; and Lunch (the type depends on the venue). If extensive room setup is necessary, such as the night before, there might be additional room hire charges. A 24 Hour Delegate rate generalyl includes all features of the Day Delegate package plus accommodation, breakfast and dinner for each delegate.
